Indoor plants can brighten and freshen any room.
Plants grown indoors can thrive if a few easy points are adhered to:
Don't water plant too much. A plant usually requires water when top 1cm of soil is dry.
Plants that I have in my home are ivy, ferns, elephants ears, palms and cacti.
Lighting should suit the plant. Check plant label for recommendation.
Keep plant clean as dust can clog leaf pores. Wipe leaves with damp cloth.
Pot should be large enough for plant. When transplanting plant use a pot at least 1.5 times larger than former pot.
Pot shouldn't sit in a tray of water as roots may rot. Fill tray with ornamental stones and sit pot on top.
Feed plants with a slow release fertiliser as per instructions.
